Welcome to the Rainbow Class
We would like to welcome our new children and their families to the Rainbows. The staff members are Mrs Royle and Mrs Patel, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
This half term our topic is 'Fantasy'. We will be using our imaginations a lot, thinking about aliens, pirates and superheroes. We will be thinking of and writing our own stories using lots of weird and wonderful characters. Watch this space....
We are very excited about moving in to our new classroom soon. We also have our Whalley visit and
Fathers Day stay and play this half term.

This half term our topic is 'Amazing Animals'. We will be looking at animals big and small, starting with mini beasts and moving on to zoo animals. We are taking care of some caterpillars in the classroom and are excited about watching their transformation. We are also very excited about our trip to the zoo!

This half term our topic is Transport. We will be looking at different types e.g. buses, trains, boats, planes etc. Our Literacy work will be based around transport themed books. We will be going on a walk to our local bus and train stations to support our learning. If you have any photos of your child on different types of transport, please send them in to school so they can share them with the rest of the class. See the Bulletin below for further details.
This half term our Literacy topic is 'Traditional Tales'. We have started by looking at the story of the Three Little Pigs, we will also focus on 'The Gingerbread Man' and 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. In Maths we are continuing to develop our number knowledge and will learn about subtraction. We will also be focussing on measures, e.g. height, length and capacity. During out afternoon sessions we will be talking about Winter and the changes that happen during this time.
