This half term in Year 2 we will be learning...

Collective Worship 

Throughout this half term we will be focusing on a different value each week. The values we will be exploring are respect, love, forgiveness, service, friendship and peace. We will be listening to and responding to a range of bible stories that teach Christians about the importance of our values.

English

We will be exploring a wonderful book called 'The King Who Banned the Dark' by Emily Haworth-Booth. Throughout this unit, the children will engage in lots of exciting activities which will deepen their understanding of vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. All of these skills will build up throughout the half term and will be used to help the children write their own narrative and a persuasive letter based on this book. We will continue working hard to improve our handwriting skills this half term.

Junior Jam will continue teaching us this year and helping us to develop our Music, Computing and Performing Arts skills.
