Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club operates every school day from 8.00 am in the school hall and provides children with a healthy, positive start to the day in a safe and welcoming environment. The costs is £1.00 per child, per day. Children who are entitled to Targeted Free School Meals may attend free of charge.

Applying for a Place

Parents and carers must apply for a place at the school's Breakfast Club. Once a place has been confirmed, children may attend from 8.00 am. Children may attend every morning or on selected days each week, depending on your family's needs.

What We Offer

Children are provided with a healthy breakfast before taking part in a range of supervised activities, including:

  • Board games
  • Arts and crafts
  • Other quiet indoor activities

Breakfast Club helps children to settle into the school day, socialise with their friends and arrive in class ready to learn. We believe this is an invaluable service for families and encourage parents and carers to apply. As well as providing a healthy start to the day, regular attendance at Breakfast Club can also support good punctuality and attendance at school.

Breakfast Menu (please note that the menu may vary depending on availability)

The following items are normally available:

  • Toast
  • Bagels
  • A selection of breakfast cereals
  • Semi-skimmed milk
  • Water

Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements

The safety of our pupils is extremely important to us. The breakfast foods we provide may contain the following statutory allergens:

  • Cereals containing gluten (including wheat, barley and oats)
  • Milk
  • Soya

A full list of allergens for all breakfast foods and drinks can be found on the allergen poster below.

If your child has a diagnosed food allergy, intolerance or special dietary requirement, please ensure the school has been informed and that any necessary healthcare plan is up to date before they attend Breakfast Club. Children with allergies will only be provided with food that is safe for them in accordance with their individual healthcare plan.

Whilst we take reasonable steps to minimise the risk of allergen cross-contamination during food preparation and serving, we cannot guarantee that our Breakfast Club is completely free from allergens.  If you would like to discuss your child's dietary needs or require further allergen information before your child attends, please contact the school office.

We look forward to welcoming your child to Breakfast Club and helping them make a healthy, positive start to every school day.
