SMSJ Courageous Advocates

SMSJ Courageous Advocates

Each half term, our Comms Team share good news on courageous advocates.  We highlight one courageous advocate to encourage our children and provide insight in to what makes a courageous advocate - someone who bravely speaks up for others, for those who may not be able to speak up for themselves.

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.  Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Proverb, 31:8-9

We look for courageous advocates within our school community - whether that be pupils, staff, parents or governors, and their families.  We also look further afield, looking at perhaps celebrities, people from the council, people from charities with whom we are linked.

If you are, or know of, a courageous advocate, please see or speak to Mrs. Sargent.  She would love to find out more from you and share this information with the school!

Here, you will find the courageous advocates we have looked at so far.

We add all of our Courageous Advocates to our display in the hall!

Courageous Advocate Day - 8th February 2023. Some of our children and staff dressed up as courageous advocates and each class researched a courageous advocate. We also had time to consider how we ourselves could become courageous advocates!
