Pupils as Leaders

At St Michael with St John, we are very proud of our different leadership teams who ensure that children's voices are heard and that they impact on decision making across all aspects of school life.  Being a member of a pupil leadership team requires hard work, commitment and a responsibility to ensure that every child in school has a voice that can be heard.  Leadership teams have regular meetings and each member represents and acts on behalf of their class peers.  We firmly believe that 'With God, all things are possible' (Matthew 19:26) and we aim to:

• nurture our children so that they develop confidence in themselves and learn key leadership skills;
• inspire them to be responsible, active citizens who can make a positive difference on a local, national and global level;
• support our children so that they achieve their goals and have high aspirations of themselves to become the country's future leaders.

Through developing pupil leadership, we are providing pupils with a greater understanding of British Values: Democracy, Mutual Respect and Individual Liberty.
