This half term in Dolphins, we will be learning...

English

We will be exploring a fantastic book called ‘A River’ by Marc Martin. Throughout the unit, the children will engage in lots of exciting activities which will deepen their understanding of vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. All these skills will build up to the children writing their own narrative and a letter based on this text.

We will continue working hard this half term to improve our handwriting skills.

Mathematics

This half term we will be covering the following units:

• Numbers within 100.
• Addition and Subtraction of 2-digit numbers.
• Addition and Subtraction word problems.

Junior Jam will continue teaching us this year and helping us to develop our PE, Music, Computing and Performing Arts skills.
