This half term in Dolphins, we will be learning...

English

We will be exploring a wonderful book called ‘The Bog Baby’ by Jean Willis. Throughout the unit, the children will engage in lots of exciting activities which will deepen their understanding of vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. All of these skills will build up throughout the unit and will be used to help the children write their own narrative and a set of instructions based on this text.

Mathematics

This half term we will be covering the following units:

• Fractions
• Addition and Subtraction of 2-digit numbers

Science - Living things and their habitats

Geography - A Small Area in a Non-European Locality: Serrekunda, The Gambia

Art - Observational drawings and paintings, developed into printing William Morris

PE - Fundamental Movement Skills: Rolling a ball

PSHE - Living in the Wider World

RE - Jesus

Junior Jam will continue teaching us this year and helping us to develop our Music, Computing and Performing Arts skills.
